Welcome to my family run cleaning business that has been built on hard work, commitment and loyalty from our amazing customers, we are a company that truly cares.
Hello my name is Becky (I’m a wife to my biggest supporter and my rock my husband Simon, and mum to 3 precious young adults (Ben, Izzie and Jack) and I’m the owner of Queen of Cleans which originally started in Stafford prior to 2018, after I decided to stop sub-contracting my work out to local cleaning firms and start something for myself!
In 2018 we moved from Stafford to Shrewsbury, so Queen of Cleans had to start from scratch again. After a very short time my customer base grew again so we had to take on staff to help meet demand. It’s been a rollercoaster of a ride so far, long days, stress, dealing with complications along the way, happy customers and LOTS of trial cleans and EVEN MORE let downs, along with the Covid pandemic and the rise in living costs, it really is relentless!
Running your own business is tough, you are one person but you have to diversify into many roles to keep the business flourishing. For me personally it was always a personal battle as I suffer chronically with migraines, which is why I have put so much effort into it. The amount of times I have pushed through pain to get a job complete, or done admin feeling sick from the nausea because I know if I don’t do it no one else will. Ultimately my goal was to build a business where I end up not doing all the physical cleaning anymore but managing the logistics and admin behind the scenes, as this would allow me the space/time to manage my migraines and recovery days as well as potentially reducing my migraine triggers.
For reference I used to get 14+ migraines a month, I have been to numerous doctor appointments and under a Neurology Specialist at present. I am doing much better now as after around 25 years I’m on medication that has reduced the severity and frequency to around 7-8 a month.
In 2022 all my hard has paid off and we incorporated the business to Queen of Cleans (Shropshire) Limited, which is something I’m very proud of and I feel very luckily that my business continues to grow.
